National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival Reveals Final Line-Up for 2024

National Geographic Traveller (UK) has revealed the final line-up of guest speakers and exhibitors for this year’s Food Festival, set to return to London’s Business Design Centre, Islington, on the weekend of July 20-21, 2024.

Hosted by the acclaimed magazines National Geographic Traveller (UK) and Food by National Geographic Traveller (UK), this two-day event invites visitors to savor global flavors through wine tutorials, food photography workshops, tasting sessions, culinary masterclasses, live cooking demonstrations, and interviews with renowned cookbook authors.

The festival will feature a star-studded line-up on the Main Stage, including celebrity chef Nadiya Hussain and restaurateur Nisha Katona. At Speakers’ Corner, festival regular Zuza Zak and celebrated chef Alex Jackson will showcase their latest cookbooks.

Advance tickets are priced at £15 per person (excluding an 8% booking fee), offering a £10 saving compared to door prices. For an additional £5 per person per session, visitors can also book the Wine & Spirits Theatre, the new Food Photography Workshops, and Tasting Sessions. Attendees are encouraged to book early due to high demand.

Main Stage

Hosted by chef and food writer April Jackson, the Main Stage will feature demonstrations from top culinary talents, including:

  • TV chef and author Nadiya Hussain
  • Restaurateur-chefs Nisha Katona, Theo Randall, and Richard Corrigan
  • TV presenter, chef, and author Matt Tebbutt
  • Pastry chef, author, and broadcaster Ravneet Gill

Speakers’ Corner

At Speakers’ Corner, hosts Alex Outhwaite and Farida Zeynalova will present a stellar line-up of cookbook authors discussing their latest releases. Visitors can ask questions and get their favorite cookbooks signed. This year’s authors include:

  • Zuza Zak, discussing her book, Slavic Kitchen Alchemy
  • Alex Jackson, presenting his love letter to French cuisine, Frontières
  • Imad Alarnab, talking about his acclaimed cookbook, Imad’s Syrian Kitchen

Masterclass Theatres

The Masterclass Theatres will host live cooking demonstrations featuring over a dozen cuisines from around the world, including:

  • Indonesia

NEW for 2024: Food Photography Workshops

For the first time, visitors can enhance their photography skills through new workshop sessions. On Saturday, Charlie Richards will discuss studio and home photography techniques, while on Sunday, Giulia Verdinelli will focus on capturing stunning food photos on the go.

NEW for 2024: Tasting Sessions

New tasting sessions will introduce attendees to high-quality chocolates from around the world, the best British cheeses, and classic Latin American cocktails.

Wine & Spirits Theatre

The Wine & Spirits Theatre will offer a global tasting tour, featuring beverages from the Czech Republic, Georgia, the Lisboa wine region, and more.

Main Hall

The Main Hall will be filled with exhibitors, from tourist boards to producers, offering demonstrations, samples, and stories. Renowned chefs will add unique twists to classic dishes, and tourist boards will highlight the culinary destinations that inspire them.
